Hanganak has started its monthly food provision and heating compensation to the beneficiaries

Starting from February 18 Hanganak NGO started its food provision. During the last task-force meeting between AWWA-ANRC and Hanganak NGO, food priorities were outlined. The needs of the beneficiaries and their preferences have been studied over the years. The experience and opinions of other organizations dealing with social issues of the population were also taken into consideration.

Vegetable oil, tea and sugar were considered priority items, and cereals, beans, chicken and other nutrients might be changed according to seasonality and needs, suggestions and preferences of the beneficiaries. Frequent discussions of the topic have emphasized the need to reduce the amount of carbohydrates and increase the amount of protein. Chicken and beans, as well as canned vegetables, have become more common in recent years, according to opinion polls.

This time, the provision of food coincided with the provision of heating compensation. Visiting the office, the beneficiaries have received monthly food and 10,000 drams as heating compensation.

In parallel, food was delivered to physically disabled beneficiaries with the help of the staff of the Home Care Center for the Elderly of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh. As the day ends, 85 beneficiaries have already received food provision and will continue receiving by the end of the week.
