Svetlana was born in 1940 in the village of Petrosashen, Hadrut region, in a working class family. She was 8 years old when the family moved to the village of Togh. There were 8 children in the family, 3 sons and 5 daughters, while Svetlana was the sixth child. She has an eight-year education.
In 1959 she got married and moved to Baku. She worked in a garment factory in Baku for many years, enjoying everyone’s love and respect.
In 1987, Svetlana and her husband moved to their native village of Togh.
Her husband died in 2008. They had no children.
During the days of the second Artsakh war, when the Turks were already on the outskirts of the village, it was approximately October 15-16, her nephew felt the danger and took her with his family to Yerevan, to his friend’s place. Until the end of the war, they hoped to return to their home village, but the war ended in disaster. All their hopes were dashed and they were left homeless, leaving everything in Togh.
In early December, 2020 she returned to Stepanakert. Now she lives in rented apartment, the state pays rent and utilities.
Svetlana’s pension is 65,400 drams, of which 9,400 AMD as an allowance for lonely pensioners, and 27,000 AMD provided by the ICRC.
Svetlana suffers from hypertension; she takes Enap H, valerian extract, Cardiomagnyl 75 mg.
