Our Healthy Lifestyle series is going strong! This week, Dr. Lilia Seyranyan led a fascinating session on aging and the changes our bodies experience throughout life — from childhood to later years. She explained what influences the aging process, how it affects our quality of life, and shared practical tips for slowing it down.
The discussion focused on everyday habits that support healthy aging — balanced nutrition, staying active, avoiding harmful habits, and getting restorative sleep. Participants contributed actively, asking thoughtful questions and sharing personal experiences.
Supporting Memory and Brain Health
Dr. Seyranyan also addressed memory decline and suggested simple mental exercises to boost brain function and memory.
Gentle Movement
Anush Shekyan guided the group through neck and shoulder exercises introduced in a previous session, encouraging participants to continue practicing them at home.
A Taste of Nature
To make the afternoon even more special, Mrs. Sinam brought fragrant thyme from the fields around Vanadzor, which she had gathered and dried herself. While our planned tabbouleh-making activity had to be postponed due to a temporary water outage, the aromatic tea — infused with the spirit of Artsakh — made a perfect substitute.
