The October food distribution at Hanganak is nearing completion, marking another month of dedicated care and compassion toward our beloved beneficiaries.
What makes this process truly special is the devotion of our nurses and social assistant, who not only deliver the food packages but also bring warmth, attention, and professional care to every doorstep. During each visit, they take the time to check blood pressure, pulse, glucose levels, and oxygen saturation, while also offering kind words, listening with empathy, and supporting our beneficiaries both physically and emotionally.
Our committed team members serve in different regions with great responsibility and heart:
- Marcela Sargsyan – Ararat region
- Anush Shekyan – Kotayk region
- Tatul Shekyan – Armavir region
- Rebeka Hakobyan and Yelizaveta Sargsyan – Yerevan
- Esmira Gasparyan – Social assistant, who provides daily home care and food delivery to 25 homebound beneficiaries, ensuring that those unable to leave their homes still receive consistent support, comfort, and attention.
Some beneficiaries, however, prefer to come to the Hanganak office to receive their food packages themselves. These visits are always filled with smiles, heartfelt conversations, and moments of connection. They are happy for the opportunity to talk with Lina and other members of the team, share their news, and enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee. For many, it is not just a visit—it is a cherished moment of togetherness and belonging.
The food package itself is a very supportive and essential part of our Elderly Project. It helps beneficiaries meet their basic nutritional needs, maintain their health, and feel cared for and remembered. For many of them, it brings both practical help and emotional comfort—a symbol of stability and compassion in their daily lives.
The entire process is coordinated and supervised by Lina Grigoryan, the project coordinator, who ensures that all services are provided with the highest standard of care and consistency.
The Elderly Project is made possible thanks to the Armenian Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA), whose continuous support sustains our mission of care, and the Martik Foundation, which every month provides our beneficiaries with dried fruits and sweets, adding kindness and a touch of sweetness to their daily lives.
Together, we make sure that care reaches every home, heart, and table.
