Our English classes at Hanganak continue with professional English teacher and volunteer Lilit Baghryan, bringing new knowledge, confidence, and plenty of joyful moments to our beneficiaries.
During the latest lesson, participants were especially active and curious, asking many questions and expressing a wish to learn very simple and practical English phrases that they can use in everyday communication. With Lilit’s guidance, they practiced short expressions, asked and answered simple questions, and, most importantly, began talking to one another in English.
The room was soon filled with laughter as participants enthusiastically tried out their new phrases with each other. Every correctly understood question and every successful answer brought smiles and a wonderful sense of achievement. Learning became not only an educational experience, but also a source of fun, confidence, and connection.
After the lesson, everyone gathered with the Hanganak staff to enjoy fresh watermelon together. These simple moments around the table—talking, laughing, and sharing something delicious—are an important part of our gatherings and help strengthen the warm sense of community that has grown among our beneficiaries.
At Hanganak, we believe that learning at any age can open new doors—not only to knowledge, but also to communication, self-confidence, friendship, and joy. For older people coping with the challenges of displacement, having a welcoming place to learn, socialize, and simply enjoy being together can make each new experience especially meaningful.
