fter a break, the clinical trainings on the Zoom platform resumed. This time, at the suggestion of Dr. Mahakyan, both teams were involved: Hanganak’s team and the Healthy Brain Project’s team. Gohar Hovhannisyan briefly presented the history and mission of the organization, and Jane Mahakyan introduced Alzheimer’s Care Armenia, which sponsors the Healthy Brain Armenian Program. The project aims at having a lasting positive impact by raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease through the training of health professionals. Dr. Mahakyan invited Silva Davtyan, a nurse at the Healthy Brain Armenian Program within the framework of this project, to present Alzheimer’s disease and her many years of experience in caring for Alzheimer’s patients.
The meeting was very interesting, many questions and meaningful clarifications were raised. Hanganak’s team presented its cases, discussed examples of senile dementia, the differential diagnosis of which is still unavailable in Artsakh.
At the end of the meeting, the participants explained their gratitude to nurse Silva Davtyan, as well as evaluated the format of the meeting as very effective and decided to organize similar exchange meetings in the future.
