Artsakh Organizations Cooperate in the Face of New Challenges

Hanganak has been collaborating with the “Empathy” Mental Health Centre since 2022. For nearly two years, and particularly during the blockade, the head of the center, psychotherapist Anahit Lalayan, conducted psychological group sessions for our beneficiaries. Even after the forced exodus, we maintained our communication, and when the Elderly Project started operating in Armenia in January 2024, Dr. Lalayan kindly agreed to continue providing psychological services to our beneficiaries.

The “Empathy” Mental Health Center has recently opened its office in Yerevan and is actively operating both in the city and in the regions. Furthermore, mobile groups organized by the center provide their services in the Ararat, Armavir, Kotayk, and Lori regions. The center is determined to expand its reach and provide support to every resident of Artsakh living in Armenia.

On February 22, officials of Hanganak held a meeting with Anahit Lalayan, the Head of the “Empathy” Mental Health Centre, to discuss various issues. One of the pressing concerns was the urgent need for an office space for Hanganak. During the meeting, Anahit Lalayan kindly offered to provide Hanganak with one of the bright and comfortable rooms in the spacious office of the center. This generous offer came as a vital solution for Hanganak, and the “Empathy” Mental Health Centre’s generous gift of workspace and psychological services was greatly appreciated. It is, without a doubt, the most generous gift Hanganak has ever received from a local organization.

On behalf of the organization and its beneficiaries, we express our deep gratitude to the “Empathy” Menatl Health Center and personally to Dr. Anahit Lalayan.
