Our Visit to the Ararat Region on May 16

We want to share some highlights from our visit to the Ararat region on May 16!

First, we dropped off food supplies in Artashat for Marsela Sargsyan, the amazing nurse who helps coordinate care in the area. She’ll be handing these out to people in need over the next few days.

Next, we joined Marsela to visit some of the folks we support in Masis city. There are 7 people there—5 living in rented homes and 2 in social housing.

The best part? Everyone we met is doing okay health-wise! They all visit the local clinic regularly and get free medicines when they are available. Marsela is a very caring nurse – she checks in on them often, does home visits, monitors their blood pressure and blood sugar, and even helps schedule their clinic appointments. If someone needs extra care, she makes sure they get it!

We brought food provision during our visit, and everyone was so grateful to the Armenian Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA) for their endless support. Because of AWWA, we’re able to keep helping our beneficiaries – elderly people forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
