In previous publications, it was reported that on March 1, Hanganak’s office was officially moved to the Empathy Mental Health Center, located on 6 Ara Sargsyan Street. On March 19, the center held its first psychological group session, inviting over 10 beneficiaries, including Tikin Iskuhi, who now resides in Vanadzor. She accepted the invitation with great pleasure and attended the session after traveling a long way to get there. It’s worth noting that Tikin Iskuhi was a regular participant in the psychological group sessions back in Stepanakert.
Despite the heavy rain, almost everyone who was invited showed up for the meeting. The gathering was filled with emotions, tears, nostalgia, love, and warmth. Even the psychologist, Anahit Lalayan, who had eagerly anticipated the meeting, was deeply touched. The previous meeting had taken place over six months ago in Stepanakert when they had tried to resist the strict blockade together. Now, they have to face even more severe challenges together.
On that day, a friend of Hanganak Tsolin Saryan paid a surprise visit to us. She came from the USA to show her support for her homeland. Prior to the start of the session, she had the chance to meet with the beneficiaries and medical staff of the organization and was pleased to see the warm and welcoming atmosphere in the office. Tsolin Saryan expressed her regret for not being able to visit the Stepanakert office, but promised to come back and show her support for the organization.
Psychological group sessions will be ongoing. The psychologist will be available next week at the same day and time, eagerly waiting to assist the beneficiaries of Hanganak.
