The Hanganak beneficiary continues to live in the house destroyed during the war, hoping for help

We have told you about Arina F. in our page of “Beneficiary Spotlight” where we have presented her dramatic story. However, life did not spare her giving the second blow.

Arina lived with her husband in a two-room dark house. The living conditions were below the average. Nevertheless, they did not complain and lived happily praying to God for the conditions they had.

During the third Artsakh war, they had to move to Yerevan and find shelter in a relative’s place. Meanwhile, the major part of their house was destroyed from the first bombing of Stepanakert. Her husband could not stand the news and died of a heart attack.

After the war was over, Arina returned to Stepanakert and continued living in their house fearing that the other part of the house will also collapse one day. She lives with the hope that the government will provide shelter to her “those 9 sq. metres”, as she says, where she would meet her end.

Arina joined Hanganak in 2010.
