Four of our beneficiaries reside in Alaverdi, and we maintain regular contact with them. However, due to the distance, we aren’t always able to meet with our Alaverdi beneficiaries during our trips to Lori region. This visit, however, was planned in advance, and all beneficiaries were notified.
Early in the morning on July 10, the Hanganak team departed for Lori region. On the way to Vanadzor, we stopped by the villages of Ardzhovit and Ardjut, then proceeded to our main meeting point in Vanadzor—the home of Tikin Iskuhi. There, five of our beneficiaries were already waiting for us, along with the hostess. We conducted medical check-ups, distributed food packages, and then continued to Alaverdi, located about an hour’s drive from Vanadzor.
In Alaverdi, we met with three more beneficiaries, performed medical check-ups, and provided food supplies. In total, during this trip, we visited 11 beneficiaries in Lori region.
It is important to note that the general health condition of all our Lori-region beneficiaries remains stable. They are all taking prescribed medications, are under the care of local polyclinics, and nearly all maintain active lifestyles.
One beneficiary, unable to register at the local clinic, traveled to Georgia – her birthplace—to visit relatives and retrieve her birth certificate, which she was told is necessary to obtain citizenship and, consequently, register at the polyclinic.
On our way back, we made sure to stop by the Haghpat Monastery Complex, where we lit candles and prayed for the return of Artsakh and for our displaced compatriots to be able to go back to their homes.
