The “Hanganak” team recently returned to Lori region, visiting 15 of our 21 beneficiaries living there. For people who have lost their homes and familiar surroundings in Artsakh, staying connected with those who know them and care about their lives holds particular meaning. Each visit continues a relationship built on trust, care, and years of shared experience.
As always, our team conducted medical examinations and provided food packages, along with incontinence supplies for those who needed them. These meetings also give us time to listen, understand changing needs, and offer individual attention to the people in our care.
In Arjut, we visited Tikin Jasmen, who continues to care devotedly for her sister with a disability. Over the years, the sisters have become dear members of the “Hanganak” family. Through repeated displacement and the challenges of settling into a new home, Jasmen has carried the daily responsibility of caring for her sister. Staying close to them and helping meet their needs remains an important part of our work.
We also visited Tikin Iskuhi’s home, where five of our beneficiaries had gathered to meet us. Her home has become a familiar place of connection for our beneficiaries—a place to spend time together and maintain the companionship that displacement has made all the more precious.
We were unable to reach Alaverdi on this trip, where five of our beneficiaries live, and plan to visit them during our next journey to Lori. Between visits, we remain in regular contact with all our beneficiaries across the region, following their health and living circumstances and listening to their concerns. Our care continues through these conversations, even when we cannot meet in person.

From the first steps of our Elderly Support Project in Artsakh to the continuation of our work in Armenia after forced displacement, their steadfast support has helped us sustain care through profound upheaval.
