Piece by Piece, We Reconstruct Artsakh – Part 2

On June 26, Hanganak was more crowded than ever before. Our beneficiaries have a tradition of sharing the latest news with each other—and this time, many already knew about the collaborative project to recreate the map of Artsakh. That’s why new participants joined our latest group therapy session.

“If this keeps up, we’ll need to bring in more chairs!” Lina joked cheerfully.

And truly, the enthusiasm of our beneficiaries to take part in such sessions is immense. Words can’t fully capture their eagerness as they dove into the work. Since there were more participants than regions of Artsakh, they helped each other—passing fabric pieces back and forth, demonstrating how to create neat edges. It was truly inspiring, both for the staff and the participants.

This session once again confirmed that establishing an Elders Community Center has become an urgent necessity.

The collaborative recreation of Artsakh’s map is not yet complete. Once the stitching is done, our beneficiaries will be in for another surprise.

Stay tuned for updates and stay informed about Hanganak’s humanitarian mission!
